You can include custom JavaScript applications (also called custom JavaScript problems or JS Input problems) in a course. You add the application directly into edX Studio.

By adding custom JavaScript applications in your course, you can provider learners with rich, interactive content that is built for your course and goals. You can also set up your JavaScript application so that learners' interactions are graded.

There are no special requirements to use JavaScript applications within Open edX; most applications written in JavaScript should seamlessly work in your course. To have learners' interactions graded, you must include three specific functions. For more information, see the documentation for building JavaScript applications for Open edX courses.

Once you have created your JavaScript applications, you can easily add it to your course through edX Studio or Open Learning XML.
